What do I need to know about possible side effects of fat freezing?

As a non-invasive treatment, cryolipolysis is known to be comparatively safe and usually entails minimal side effects. Common side effects of fat freezing are tugging, stinging sensation as well as temporary redness, swelling and sensitivity at the treatment site. 

A very rare but recently reported side effect of cryolipolysis is Paradoxical adipose hyperplasia. According to a study, the chance to develop this side effect is supposed to be about 0.0051% or 1 in every 20,000 treated patients.
