Dr. Adnan Muhammad MD is an American Board Certified Consultant Gastroenterologist and Transplant Hepatologist, working at the American Hospital Dubai. Dr. Muhammad completed MBBS degree from Dow University Karachi , Pakistan. He did residency in Internal Medicine at the Montefiore Medical Center (North division) in New York. Subsequently he completed Gastroenterology fellowship at the University of South Florida and Transplant Hepatology fellowship at the University of Medicine and Dentistry in New Jersey. Dr. Muhammad has been involved in academic medicine during his entire career. He has published multiple scientific papers in peer reviewed journals and has been an invited speaker at many national and international conferences. He is an Affiliate Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Central Florida and University of South Florida.

Dr. Muhammad specializes in diseases of digestive system specially capsule endoscopy, hepatobiliary disorders and liver transplantation. He has published multiple scientific papers on the role of small bowel capsule endoscopy in the management of GI bleeding. He is a fellow of American College of Gastroenterology and American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases. He also serves as a peer reviewer for the World Journal of Gastroenterology and World Journal of Gastrointestinal Pharmacology and Therapeutics.
