Introduction to Dr. Sweta Shah
Following her undergraduate training in medicine in Mumbai, Dr. Sweta Shah pursued post graduate training in Psychiatry which she completed in 2010. Following this she underwent specialized training in Child & Adolescent Mental Health, Family Therapy and Behavioural therapy from the renowned National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences, Bangalore, India.
Following this she gained wide experience in treating mental health problems in adults and children in Mumbai. Her area of expertise include clinical evaluation and management of children/ adolescents, adults and elderly suffering from a variety of acute and chronic mental illnesses, ranging from psychotic, neurotic and personality disorders to treatment of ADHD, autism spectrum disorders and management of stress related conditions.
She was keenly involved in teaching whilst in India and has presented many papers internationally. She is also actively involved in awareness programs to raise awareness of mental health problems in the community and destigmatize them. She has a keen interest in child psychiatry, women mental health issues, family counselling, and dementia.
She strongly believes in “A sound mind in a sound body” where your mind and body are both healthy emotionally and physically, and that they are in harmony with each other for a balanced and happy life.

Dr sweta Shah is an excellent doctor with a calming personality which immediately puts you at ease.She is very patient and very flexible in her approach towards her patient. I have been consulting her since 5 years and I am very satisfied.

Dr Sweta is an extremely humble human being and one of the best doctors I have visited. Her basic aim is to make her patients strong from within with minimal reliance on medication. She presents her ears to calmly listen to the patient's symptoms making them feel comfortable and then take a well informed decision.

Dr.Sweta is very professional and dedicated. In the four years I have known her, my respect for her has increased manifold! She is very easy to talk to, very approachable, understanding, yet firm when she needs to be. Her experience & expertise became obvious when I saw her dealing with the relative I had taken to see her. I felt confident that my loved one was in good hands! More importantly, the person felt understood & trusted her completely, which is the most important thing. I would & have already recommended her to many families in need. We are grateful and lucky to have found an excellent doctor, for mental health in our midst!!
