Dr.
PourMirza is a German Board-certified Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with
sub-specialty in Fetal Medicine. He is the Managing Physician of the Feto
Maternal and Genetyx Center in Dubai.
The
first Fetal Medicine Center in the region was established by Dr. PourMirza in
2002 in UAE and has worked collaboratively with a majority of Obstetricians and
Gynaecologists in the region, in both private and government sectors. His aim
is to provide the highest quality standard of patient care in normal
pregnancies and management of high-risk pregnancies.
After
graduating from Heinrich Heine University in Duesseldorf, Germany, he completed
his PHD at the German Center for Diabetes Research.
Dr.
PourMirza completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Kaiserswerth
Hospital- Duesseldorf. He underwent a year of extensive training in Germany,
with Professor Kozlowski, where he specialized in Fetal Medicine in 1996.
Dr.
PourMirza is an expert in ultrasound and prenatal diagnosis. His clinical
interests include high risk pregnancy management and genetic testing through
invasive techniques for the diagnosis of chromosomal and genetic disorders. He
has performed more than 10000 procedures since 1995.
One of
his missions is to educate not just patients but also colleagues by focusing on
the advancement and dissemination of knowledge through research, education and
support for fetal medicine practice. Due to this advocacy, Dr. PourMirza
continues to not only support and participate as a Speaker in educational
activities being held by Healthcare Organizations but he organizes both small
and large-scale conferences. The annual International Conference on Obstetrics,
Fetal Medicine and Gynaecology is held in either February or March every year
and has been attended by colleagues from UAE and GCC as well as from countries
in Asia, Europe and Africa. By doing so regularly, he continues to keep up with
the latest developments in Obstetrics and Fetal Medicine in order to be able to
give the best possible care and treatment to the patients. Seminars for small audiences tackling interesting topics are also held quarterly.

We were lucky to visit Dr Pourmirza's clinic. He was a good professional doctor with advance knowledge of the area of maternity. The clinic is very clean and the nurses were really helpful. We highly recommend the assistance of Dr. Pourmirza.

One of my friends suggested me to meet Dr. Afshin at your clinic and was not surprised why she was keep asking me to do my Morphology Scan with Dr. Afshin. He is really cool. Normally I do get scared and nervous when ever I visit a doctor specially when it comes to my baby. Doctor knows how to keep calm such patients like me :) I felt safe there at your clinic which is most important thing for me as a pregnant lady. Staff is really nice and professional. We had a very good experience in this clinic recently. The staff were friendly and accommodating as I had to be seen as an emergency with my twin pregnancy. My doctor had suspected an issue with one of the twins and my husband and I were very apprehensive, but she reassured us that Dr Mirza has extensive experience in this field. We did have to wait for a while, but it was worth it as he spent over an hour scanning and explaining everything patiently to us. Everybody is excellent. Staff are courteous and efficient. I came for my very first ultrasound scan as referred by my friend and I dont regret it.
