Corniche Hospital is the largest maternity hospital in the Middle East. It is a joint Commission International accredited institution and is the United Arab Emirates' leading referral hospital for obstetric and neonatal care. With specialty clinics in lactation, fetal medicine, diabetes and more, the hospital is equipped to provide services for 235 in-patients and 64 intensive care cases. The hospital has a professional staff of 1,200 SEHA employees, led by 10 obstetrics consultants, 12 specialists and 50 general practitioners in obstetrics as well as gynecology. They are supported by 25 neonatologists, over 120 midwives and more than 300 nurses. Together they manage each month an average of 1200 obst/gyn admissions, 100 NICU cases and as many as 11,000 outpatient visits. Located in downtown Abu Dhabi, it is owned and operated by Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA). As part of its continuous endeavor to offer premier services to our patients, Corniche Hospital completed the renovation and expansion to the existing Neo-natal intensive care unit, Urgent Care, Ambulatory Services as well as the renovation and expansion of the Out-patient Department. With a focus not only to patient satisfaction, we are passionate about patient safety. Hence we have joined the Patient Safety Network, part of the University Hospital Consortium (UHC), and have implemented the Modified Early Obstetric Warning System (MEOWS), and Administrator Patient Safety rounds to name a few patient safety centered initiatives.
