Dr. Durugu Srinivasa Rao completed his undergraduate training in Medicine from Andhra Medical College, Visakhapatnam, India. He then pursued his masters in Internal Medicine and obtained his MD from The Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, India. He further specialized in Cardiology receive his doctorate (DM - Cardiology) from Gandhi Medical College, Secunderabad, India.
Dr. Rao served as a Specialist in Internal Medicine at the Armed Forces Medical College in India initially. He took voluntary retirement after 12 years of service, in 2000. Following this he worked as Assistant Professor and later as Associate Professor of Medicine at Andhra Medical College/King George Hospital. During his tenure at the teaching hospital, he was actively involved in teaching post graduate medical students.
He has numerous publications to his credit and is an active member of various cardiology societies.
