Dr. Samara Mimesh is a North American board certified dermatologist (Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada-FRCPC, Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology-FAAD) with fellowship training in lasers and cosmetic surgery (American Board of Laser Surgery ? ABLS) and more than 10 years? experience in the field. Her practice includes diagnosis, management and treatment of dermatologic diseases as well as aesthetic procedures such as injectable treatments (Botox and fillers), surgical and non-surgical procedures (threads), as well as laser treatments for all indications. Dr. Mimesh completed her Medical School at King Abdul-Aziz University, Jeddah. She then pursued dermatology residency training at the University of Ottawa in Ottawa, Canada. This was followed by fellowship in dermatologic surgery and the use and application of lasers in the field of dermatology and cosmetic surgery. In 2006, Dr. Samara successfully obtained the Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC), American Board of Laser Surgery (ABLS) and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (FAAD). Since her return to the kingdom in 2006 she worked in a number of governmental and private hospitals and clinics. Her initial appointment was Director of Aesthetic Dermatology and Laser Center at the Royal Clinics to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, an elite highly equipped center. Her next job was a consultant dermatologist and dermatologic surgeon at King Fahad Medical City and assumed responsibilities as section head for two years. She also held an academic post at King Saud University for health sciences as Assistant Professor of Medicine as well as being involved in teaching rotating dermatology residents enrolled in the Saudi Council dermatology training program. Dr Samara was active and led many committees as well as being a member in many others and is proud in being involved in the successful Joint Commission Council Reaccreditation of the Medical City In 2014.
Mid 2014, Dr. Mimesh successfully completed an Executive Master Degree in Health Administration with the University of Minnesota. She was then assigned the role of Chief Medical Information Officer (Assistant Executive Director of Medical Information) which involved overseeing, planning and managing clinical projects at the level of the Medical City involving all four hospitals and four centers. King Fahad Medical City is considered a quaternary health care organization under the umbrella of the Ministry of Health.
In the private sector these are some of the clinics Dr Samara has worked in: Derma clinic, Medica and Juva.
Dr. Samara has been invited to speak at national and international meetings and published many articles in her field in peer reviewed journals.
