Dr. Gallego earned a bachelor of medicine and surgery from Universidad Complutense in Madrid, Spain and is certified as a specialist in general and digestive surgery by the Spanish Ministry of Education and Science. He has over 34 years experience in general and digestive surgery and has also been performing advance laparoscopic surgery for over 20 years. He has worked in private and public health (Regional University Complex Carlos Haya) in Malaga, Spain. He was the head of the Minimally Invasive Surgery, Obesity & Metabolic Surgery (Diabetes) Departments. He also supervised advanced laparoscopic surgery, where obesity and metabolic surgery was included.
He has incorporated and implemented new techniques for the following procedures:
Laparoscopic cholcystectomy
Hiatal hernia surgery and gastroesophageal reflux, via laparoscopy
Suprarenal surgery via laparoscopy
Laparoscopic obesity and metabolic surgery
Surgical treatment for Diabetes

Did a terrible bilateral hernia repair
Did a terrible bilateral hernia repair on me two years ago. Both sides failed. I have just got the right one repaired. According to my dr, who has done thousands of these surgeries, mine was the biggest mess hed ever seen. It took 3 hours to fix. The mesh had folded back and my bladder was coming through the hernia. Do not use this dr unless you want to put your life at risk. I I need to go back and have the left side done because it was too dangerous to do both at once.
