Biography
Dr. Haitham graduated from the University of Leicester medical school in UK. He completed his post-graduate training in the UK and was awarded the member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) before returning to Dubai to work as a Cardiologist. Dr Haitham later returned to London to work at the prestigious National Heart Hospital, University College of London, where he completed his subspecialty in Adult Congenital Heart disease. The National Heart Hospital is one of the leading and largest centers in the world for treatment of Adult Congenital Heart disease.
Dr Haitham returned to Dubai as a Consultant Cardiologist and set up the only dedicated Adult Congenital Heart disease unit in the country.
Dr Haitham is proficient in a number of cardiac procedures including:
- Transthoracic and transoesophageal Echocardiography
- Exercise ECG stress testing
- Dobutamine and exercise stress Echocardiography
- Ambulatory ECG and BP monitoring
- Coronary angiography and right heart cathererization
- Pacemaker interrogation
