He underwent initial training, both MBBS and MD (General Medicine), at the prestigious Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute, which is one of the top 10 medical institutions in India. After obtaining Diplomate of National Board (DNB) in India, Dr. Anil Kumar worked at some of the best hospitals in the United Kingdom as part of his specialist training before obtaining specialization in MRCP in Diabetes & Endocrinology. In recognition of his expertise and contributions to the medical services, he was conferred with Fellow of Royal College of Physicians (FRCP - London & Edinburgh).
With over 23 years of experience in managing complex medical conditions, Dr. Anil has worked as Consultant Endocrinologist / Medicine at University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff, and at the Princess of Wales Hospital, United Kingdom. He was the lead for medicine at University Hospital of Wales. His passion for medical education earned him the role of RCP tutor to train the doctors at Cardiff & Vale University Health Board, Cardiff. Dr. Anil was also Honorary Lecturer at Cardiff University Medical school and Aberdeen University in Scotland has published in several peer-reviewed journals and has presented at national and international conferences.
